The Italian Alzheimer Research Association has recently opened its first "Art Therapy" Call, with the objective of funding 2 Research Projects - from 50 thousand Euro each - aimed at the study of art-techniquestherapy in the treatment of people with Alzheimer’s or mild cognitive impairment.
According to the experts of Airalzh Onlus, in fact, an alternative approach in the control of cognitive and behavioral disorders of patients suffering from Alzheimer’s or mild cognitive disorder is represented by Art. Drawing is a way of exploring new paths to care, as it can give the patient a better quality of life.
In parallel to the "Art Therapy" Call, Airalzh Onlus has open selections also for the first "Starting Grants" Call. A budget of 300 thousand Euro has been allocated to finance 2 Research Projects (basic and clinical) on the prevention and early stages of Alzheimer’s disease.
