The new edition of the Vaccine Calendar for Life 2025, a document that collects all the scientific evidence on vaccinations that can guarantee for each age group - from birth to senescence - the promotion of optimal health status, was presented in Rome at the ENPAM Foundation.

Under the coordination of Prof. Paolo Bonanni, Professor of Hygiene at the Department of Health Sciences University of Florence, the Calendar was compiled by: Italian Society of Hygiene, Preventive Medicine and Public Health (SItI), Italian Society of Pediatrics (SIP), Italian Federation of Pediatric Physicians (FIMP), Italian Federation of General Practitioners (FIMMG) and Italian Society of General Medicine and Primary Care (SIMG).

In the new edition of the Calendar, a chapter is devoted to the success of COVID-19 vaccines. Ample space has also been given to all the new tools for the prevention of Respiratory Syncytial Virus diseases, not forgetting the three vaccines for the adult population and pregnant women. Another chapter, however, is devoted to Pneumococcal conjugate vaccines, and another highlights the characteristics of the recombinant Herpes Zoster vaccine, supported by new data on the duration of protection. The Calendar provides new evidence of efficacy of vaccines against Human Papillomavirus HPV, whose coverage remains low. Finally, it was felt to draw attention to the free offer of the Meningococcal B vaccine in adolescents.
